Standard shutter perimeter frame is 2" x 2" sq. aluminum tube. However, perimeter frames can be made of larger sizes, such as 2" x 4" rectangular tube, for aesthetic or structural reasons. Overall shutter dimensions (drops, projections, and widths) can vary to almost anything that meets your design criteria.
